The Undermining of Collectivities

You’ve got to be sickish with a wrong espresso i guess, a really wrongish bitter espresso made in, for example, Nashville, Tennessee, to have the kind of ideas i’m going to get into today. No shit, really ?

No. In fact you don’t even have to be part of a minority, this one, or that one, latino or black americans, women, or was that men ? not exactly straight, not exactly capitalist or precisely religious, or else, give me a clue you reader.

Undermining collectivities is a very common way of processing the people in the contemporary capitalist society. Undermining means : putting mines under your feet, so your feet will explode in a thousand splinters of non-walking flesh as soon as you’ll get them to walk over the line. Undermining means making one individual powerless, and the association of individuals meaningless.

1/ Conspirationist theories :
You’ll get into trouble talking about those, but this is exactly the part of the trap which is called the holly-fucking-forbidden-desire. To talk about something that is supposed to be (forb)hidden, yes, at least supposed to be, because what we are talking about is, oh yes, in the plain fucking sight of everybody who’d care to see. Multinationals lobbying, militaro-industrial complex, corporate fascism. Why would you want to see some Illuminatis in there ? These kind of theories are creating the illusion of a conspiration totally unattainable from the people. You cannot do anything against such a power, you are MADE powerless. Only superheroes are able to do something against Illuminatis and their kind (of course). But you, me, the people, are powerless. And it is just how it is designed to make you feel. That is undermining collectivities, in the very idea of it.

2/ Have a family, be human.
The so-called human condition is not the alpha and omega of human nature, but one of its multiple layers. Thence, telling that human’s achievement lies in creating a family is, if not a lie, certainly one thread of what we ought to call a propaganda. « Have babies, make a family, that is your legitimate desire as a human being ! That is what really makes you human ! » Oh really ?? Have you noticed this pro-eminent fact that, once you have children, you’ve entered in an area of higher dependency toward the majoritarian system ? How will you feed your family, if you don »t have a good job ? Shouldn’t you even have a career ? A house ? You would want most certainly to give to your children the means to achieve themselves, their « humanity », to make studies, self-development, family, etc. That’s a part of the american dream, yes it is, but also, more broadly, of all the optimistic-consumerist ideology. Thus, people are wanting to feed and protect their families, because that is yes truly a human layer, but also because they have so well learned to care for the whole thing in that specific way, a way in which the idea of individual development through struggle is denied, denial that only benefits the consumerism of well-being goods and the quest for more free-choice illusions. Such a process, the family-based-consumerism, is driving people in secluded behaviours. This, once again, is undermining collectivities.

3/ Minorities are violent, drug addicts, thieves.
Europe knows this one nowadays through the Rom communities, which it has so well collaborated to create as its old little demon companion, the fellow culprit goat head who travels the world without being settled down enough to be caught by the territorial laws. But this setting is common enough for us to ask the devil himself to put his coat back on his shoulders and go his way. The matter is : don’t fucking get your head in conspiration theories now if you’re trying to get a clear idea of this setting. Example : are drugs distributed intentionally by governments to minorities they’d want to undermine ? This, of course, can happen. But most probably, it is through the way a government is dealing with such an issue that the minorities are going undermined : merely because trying to get rid of a drug/violence/thievery issue, the government takes in account mostly the people it needs to take out of it, that is, to agregate them to the majority. As a collateral effect, that very issue falls back on minorities. It doesn’t mean that minorities are free of this kind of actions, but it is a question of how a government (and of course people) are looking at a situation through the minority/majority setting. This process is having two main effects : first, it undermines minoritarian collectivities, by secluding them into a unsustainable position of struggle within itself and in front of its related majority ; second, it undermines this related majority, since it is digging the line deeper and validating its inhabitants as favored resorts. So please, stay inside your cocoon. Undermined, still so comfy.

4/ Food poisoning
You’ll find out easily that foodstamps, distributed to poor people in the US, give you the possibility to go in many fast foods. The poors are thus nurrished with the food the less able to drive them to a different life ; worse, it is actually pushing hideous fats in their bodies, and producing health issues in myriads.

This is NOT, of course, an exhaustive listing of the undermining process. Some territorial religious means, corporations’so-called philosophy, global and particular marketing settings, mainstream metaphors, and so on, are to be included, among others, in such an analyse.

We ought to see what is undermining, and to what kind of neo-servialism it is processing mankind into. Each one of us should be, to validate that process, getting as well adapted to the system as he could possibly be. The service, being the main setting of contemporary workabouts, is deeply stained with the quality management ideas, expelling one by one all of the resistances workers have been creating to endure and to deflect, if not to fight, the global mercantilisation of the being.
